Streatham Youth Ice Hockey Club is one of England’s most diverse and well-established junior ice hockey clubs with over 30 nationalities proudly wearing the Streatham jersey - from children taking their very first steps on the ice through to players competing nationally.
We challenge our players to grow and encourage a love for the game, using hockey as the vehicle to develop positive habits, resilient mindsets, and strong core values. Hockey is more than a sport. It is a platform for shaping character, discipline, leadership, and accountability that extends far beyond the ice rink.
Our experienced coaching team creates a safe, inclusive and ambitious environment where players of all abilities can develop their skating, hockey skills and confidence while enjoying every stage of their hockey journey.
Train with Us
From first-time skaters to competitive junior players, our weekly programme combines ice hockey, skating development, goalie coaching and off-ice ball hockey to help every player reach their potential.
We train at the Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre - London's only Olympic sized ice skating rink:
Monday
6:15–7:30 pm – U10 and Learn to Play
7:30–8:45 pm – U12 & U14
+ specialist Goalie coaching 6:15-8:45
Tuesday
7:15–9:15 pm – U16 & U19
Wednesday
6:00–8:00 pm – U12–U16
Saturday
6:00–7:00 am – Learn to Skate & Edge Work (in partnership with the figure skating coaches)
7:15–8:45 am – Ball Hockey in the Sports Hall
As well as high quality coaching we also partner with Impact Hockey Development (Canada), bringing international NHL-level coaching expertise, coach education, player development opportunities and annual summer camps, as well as with JV Ice Hockey Academy to deliver player skating and skills assessments.
